• Full grown larva is fleshy white in colour
• Adult is a large, stout grey coloured longicorn beetle with two pink dots and lateral spines on thorax

 
Nature of damage

• Tunneling by grubs
• Presence of chewed fibres at the entry point of tunnel
• Drying of terminal shoots and branches
